    Workshop Title: Show, Know, Grow- Fine Motor/Functional Skills

    Date: 1-29-26

    Audience: Occupational Therapists & Physical Therapists

    Workshop Description: Participants will create hands-on tasks that can be incorporated into daily routines in the classroom and school environment to promote fine motor skills and functional performance. Tasks will include creating resources on topics including safety, self-care, and vocational skills. Skills will be presented for all age levels to promote age-appropriate motor and functional skill development.

    Workshop Title: Show, Know, Grow- Integrating Supports Into the School Environment

    Audience: Special Education Teachers

    Workshop Description: Providing students with a structured and consistent continuum of visual support systems as they develop their skills is a crucial element in scaffolding the potential for progression in learning and independent functioning. Participants will learn about differentiated scheduling and transitioning tools, communication systems, the use of visuals to reinforce and alter routines, the role of language in using visuals, and the physical arrangement of the learning environment for optimal use of visual tools to reduce problem behaviors.
